Introducing
"The Wings of Queen Akasha"

This piece is named after the infamous Vampire Queen in Anne Rices "The Vampire Chronicles".
The wings are from the ethically sourced beetle that is in the previous post.
They have been trimmed with flakes of genuine 24ct gold, and are set into a beautiful vintage pewter piece that I have repurposed for this setting.
The oval around the wings is highlighted with a sterling silver border, and a deep red, enamel rose is set at their base.

Overlooking her wings is the Queen herself... her crowned skull is crafted from solid sterling silver and has been oxidised to give an aged appearance.

This hauntingly beautiful scene is hanging from a vintage stainless steel chain that is adjustable in length, so this can be worn as a choker or a long necklace.
