I found this sweet little spider curled up on my deck a few days ago.
She was so unique so I had to honour her in a unique way.
I've named her "The Queen Of Hearts"

This is because her thorned spikey Body reminded me of the shape of a villainous crown, and she has a heart shaped pattern on her back, which I added red to. I've also tipped her thorns with red.
This piece looks as though It has come out of a dark fairytale and really makes you look twice!
The preservation of this Queen was a meticulous full day's work but I'm very happy with her.
She is perfectly positioned,...looking alive, floating amongst flakes of 24 carat gold. All these details are VERY hard to capture clearly in photographs due to the light bouncing all over the dome shape. My camera just didn't want to focus properly.
The ring is solid Sterling Silver with an oxidized antique finish and has a fully adjustable shank to fit any finger size.
The oval setting is on the larger side at just under 3cm long.
