'The Princess of Eden'

This gorgeous swallowtail butterfly is commonly known as a 'Blue Bottle' butterfly.

To honour her, I have preserved and coated her wings for durability, then set her as a garden princess.

To create her gorgeous centre, I used pieces from a broken antique, crystal and brass brooch.
It had some wonderful elements that resembled leaves and flowers, so I've repurposed, and re-organised these pieces to create a sparkling floral centrepiece.
The dazzling blue crystal is the perfect colour to compliment the striking tones on the wings.

On top I have added a fancy antique hanging bail.... it looks like a tiara ontop of the flower...  hence my princess inspiration.

Dangling from below the flower is a gold plated tail, with a clear crystal, and to complete this royal creation I have hung it on a very pretty, vintage gold plated chain.

The Princess of Eden has a top wingspan of 8cm, chain length is 48cm.
