"The Pollen King's Coronation"

This majestic monarch started with the Honey Bee featured in my previous posts.
As it was male, I thought it was fitting to make him into a King.. I named him 'Pyrite'.

I have reconstructed and reinforced every milimetre of Pyrite so thay he could stand with his wings open.
I pictured him being coronated as he stood proudly on a golden bloom, so I have made this image come to life by setting him onto a dried natural paper daisy. The stunning deep yellow was just perfect to compliment the gold embellishments I wanted to add. The centre of the daisy has magical pollen, created with micro holographic shimmer and genuine 24 ct gold flakes.
Underneath the Daisy I have added tiny pressed flowers and fernery.

King Pyrite's wings also have touches of 24 ct gold 'pollen', and he holds a sceptre crafted from 9ct gold and set with an enchanted clear crystal.

To finish this coronation I have crowned Pyrite with a hand made 9ct gold crown... fitting for the Pollen King.

This eternal regal scene is set onto a solid sterling silver base that has beautiful flower and butterfly etchings underneath.
I have bordered this with a pretty sterling silver trim.
The King is securely housed under a glass dome, with solid sterling silver settings on the top.
Comes hanging on a vintage, belcher link chain that is also solid sterling silver.
