"The Flight of Queen Ambrosia"

This Autumn toned creation was crafted using the beautiful butterfly featured in my previous post.

I have preserved and coated her in multiple preservation layers for a durable finish, so she will now keep her beauty eternally.

I have crafted a 'body' centrepiece using an antique piece of butterscotch Amber, and a smokey faceted czech glass crystal represents her head.
Both are set in sterling  silver bezels.
( note: for some reason my camera makes the Amber look more orange , but to the naked eye it is a softer butterscotch colour and matches the wing colours beautifully )
To crown this beauty I have set a fancy, sterling silver, crystal  set bail.
Below there are silver/copper tails trailing from the body to add movement. The tones change from copper to silver as they sway around, and is a flattering effect against the earthy colours of the butterfly.
The chain Ambrosia is hanging from is matching silver and copper; hence the sane effect.

The wingspan is 7.5cm, chain length 46cm.
