This grand creation started with the wings of an ethically sourced butterfly. (One of a few that were sent to be by a lovely client )

I have pressed and preserved these beautiful wings with multiple layers, and they now have a durable glass-like finish.
The earthy green hues change in different lights, giving this butterfly an iridescent, metallic appearance.
These wings actually have more colour in person; it was hard to capture their reflective colour with the camera lens.

Her magnificent centrepiece is all solid sterling silver, set with an array of vibrant green peridot gemstones and a czech cut crystal centre stone.
The Empress of Eden has a wingspan of 7.5cm and hangs from a 45cm solid sterling silver chain.
