This baroque style piece showcases a beautiful big Redback spider. (from the Black Widow family).
This female has a huge engorged abdomen, so she likely passed away with a belly full of eggs.
She was deceased when found so rest assured this is an ethically sourced spider. 🕷❤
I've honoured her by setting this Countess guarding a heart shaped web, surrounded with flakes of 24 carat gold.
A bewitching little holographic crescent moon adds to the entrapment magic.

The ornate setting is a repurposed brass vintage piece that has been enamelled, and a blackened stainless steel micro beaded border frames the scene.
The curb link chain is a vintage piece. It is 85cm long and can be worn in different configurations. It is doubled and draped in these pictures.
The reverse of the pendant also has a brooch fitting so it can be slipped off the chain and pinned to clothing.
