This eye-catching double drop creation, started with the ethically sourced Harlequin beetles that were featured in previous posts.
They are rich in colour, with vibrant oranges and deep metallic blues and red.

Both beetles have been painstakingly preserved, then mounted onto white enamel backings to make them 'pop'.
They were then housed in all solid sterling silver, oval settings, and hung onto a fancy large sterling silver bale to give this creation a regal look.
To keep the royal theme going I just had to give them royal titles.
The Baron and the Baroness is very fitting.

The details and colours were a bit tricky to capture with the camera due to the light reflecting off the dome shape, but it looks stunning in person and I'm hoping these images give you enough of an idea.
