This spider was all curled up when I found her, and she is now an eternal beauty, ready to cast her love spell on you before she sinks her fangs into you!
Ie: A love bite!

I spent time every day over the last week creating this piece.
Every tiny little piece and joint has been repositioned and reinforced and her entire body is coated in multiple strengthening layers.
She she sits slightly protruding from her setting, (so you can pat her) yet her legs are all supported from underneath, so she is very strong from all angles.
The shrivelled abdomen has been replaced with a red heart shaped natural garnet....adding to the love theme.

The setting is a vintage brooch that has been repurposed as a pendant and enamelled with a matt black finish.
The white background is coated with a layer of micro shimmer for some vixen enchantment, and this is bordered with sterling silver chain details that reminded me of rows of teeth. (even more fangs for more love bites!)

Above this temptress is a sterling silver script word 'Amor'... (Spanish for Love)
There's also a fine bit of sterling silver web coming from her garnet abdomen with a red Swarovski crystal at the end.
This is the start of the web she's going to lure you into!

The gorgeous chain has been created by pulling apart a vintage austrian leaf shaped brooch, and adding a blood red Swarovski crystal to each sparkling leaf. These pieces now form the dazzling part of the necklace. The bezel chain that completes this piece is a blackened stainless steel chain.
There are so many beautiful elements to this creation.
