'The Dragon-Fairy Queen'

Elspeth started out as a broken, ethically sourced dragonfly (see previous posts)
The Wings were enhanced with some holographic flakes on the edges to catch the light, and they have been coated on both sides in a high grade, jewellery resin for a crystal clear and durable, glass-like finish.

Her body was created by carving into a pewter piece from the centre of a broken old fairy shaped brooch. I re-created the details and added enamel colour highlights to create some realism...she even has rosey lipstick. 

Every Fairy Queen needs a wand so I crafted Queen Elspeth a magic wand from gold plated brass and topped it with a holographic star. I also made Elspeth a tiny silver crown that is tipped with micro holographic pieces.

She has a sterling silver bail for hanging, and is suspended from a beautifully detailed vintage chain. It is 18ct white gold plating over sterling silver and is hallmarked.

This ethereal creation shimmers and sparkles, yet my photos don't do her justice as she's much prettier in person.

Pendant measurements are 7cm wide and 5cm high.
