This Beautiful Angel is crafted from cast Pewter, and her wings are from a tiny Monarch that never emerged from its chrysalis. (See posts on the facebook page for information on this monarch)

I have honoured her struggle to emerge, and was inspired by her golden sunset colours, so I have turned her into a Guardian Angel...' Galanthe'

The wings have been restored and coated so they are now very strong.

During the preservation process I handpainted tiny dabs of colour to fill in the areas where there were voids.

I then added sprinkles of genuine 24 carat gold because this delicate creature deserved to be treasure.
Galanthe now has a purpose as she is responsible for the protection of the only golden star in the sky.

She flies into the heavens to hang it in its place as the sun sets; and as the sun rises she retrieves the star and protects it until the next sunset.

This star is solid 9ct gold.

Galanthe's detailed round background setting symbolises her rebirth... her emerging as an angel. A tribute to the fact she never got the chance to fully emerge from her chrysalis.
The circle is a vintage sterling silver piece.
This also adds strength;  helps keep her safe and secure.
