This very special pair are created from the ethically sourced wings of the beautiful big dragonfly pictured below.

The poor thing had been eaten out by ants and deserved an extra beautiful preserving.
The Wings are coated with a glass-like finish and trimmed with subtle holographic flakes, and pieces of genuine 24 carat gold.

Adding more beauty to these glorious wings are floral settings that are repurposed from an antique pair of sterling silver screw on earrings. I've removed the backing, reworked them and set them onto the wings. The flowers are natural Paui Shell and all of the silver work and the earring hooks are solid sterling silver. They measure 6cm in length and are very lightweight to wear.

These Ear-Wings look so ethereal and catch the light beautifully as they dangle, and are a fitting dedication to the beautiful creature that they came from.
